Absolutely! Wild Acres is designed with families in mind. We offer plenty of space for children to run, explore, and enjoy nature. If you're visiting for photos, feel free to dress up – our wildflower fields make the perfect backdrop!
Although, practically - we recommend dressing for the great outdoors and cumbrian weather! Comfortable shoes (trainers or wellies) are a must, as you’ll be walking through grassy and sometimes uneven meadow paths. Bring layers – the weather can change quickly, and a light jacket or jumper is always a good idea. On sunny days, don’t forget suncream, a hat, and sunglasses.
-
We have limited parking, but luckily we are on a straight road with lots of grassy verges. Please park responsibly and considerately and take care walking into our flower meadow.
-
Yes – and we encourage it! Planting wildflowers at home is a simple and beautiful way to support pollinators like bees and butterflies. We sell wildflower seed packets in our on-site shop, perfect for gardens, pots, or even window boxes. We’re always happy to give advice on how to sow and care for them too. It’s a little piece of Wild Acres you can take home with you 🌼
-
A little rain won’t stop the flowers from blooming – and we’re happy to welcome you whatever the weather! That said, we recommend bringing waterproofs and wellies if the forecast looks wet If heavy rain is expected, we’ll post updates on our social media and for afternoon teas, you can cancel up to 24 hours prior, so you can rebook your visit for sunnier skies.
-
We’ll keep you updated! Each week, we’ll share what’s blooming on our Instagram and Facebook pages, including photos and flower-spotting guides. And our team is always happy to point out what’s in season. Whether you're after the perfect bouquet or just love learning about flowers, we’ve got you covered 🌸
